Today I am excited to bring you an exclusive sneak peek of the 2024 HGTV Smart Home! I'm currently in the backyard, soaking in the beauty and innovation of this year's home, located in the beautiful city of Atlanta, Georgia. Thanks to an invite from Trex Outdoor Decking, I had the opportunity to make the four-hour drive from Nashville to explore this incredible home.

This home was originally built in the late '70s to early '80s, but has been completely remodeled under the expert guidance of Tiffany Brooks, a Chicago-based designer. You might recognize her name from her win on the 2013 HGTV Design Star or from Season 2 of Rock the Block. Typically, HGTV builds these homes from the ground up, but this full remodel adds a unique charm and character that I adore.

During my tour, the kitchen was bustling with people, so I took a moment to explore the butler's pantry. This space is a game-changer for adding functionality and extra kitchen space. My favorite design element here is the use of White Oak from the floor as a backsplash—it's something I haven't seen before, and it looks fantastic! I also love the practicality of placing the microwave lower for easier access, especially for kids. And speaking of kids, there's a bottle filler in the pantry, making it super convenient to fill water bottles. Plus, who wouldn't love having an additional ice maker, especially a nugget one? It's perfect for entertaining or filling up your cooler.

Having a butler's pantry clears up the kitchen clutter, allowing for a sleek hood over the oven and no upper cabinets. It's such a smart design choice. I loved the simplicity of this kitchen and the rich wood tones. The guest bathroom was another highlight, drenched in a beautiful deep teal with matching vertical tile and a gorgeous piece of abstract art that adds just the right pop of color.

Moving on to the master bedroom on the first floor, it's the epitome of comfort and coziness. The room is enveloped in a deep green color called Cocoon, with skylights adding a flood of natural light. The trim and ceiling are all painted the same color, creating a seamless and relaxing space.

The master bathroom is equally stunning, with natural wood tones and a gorgeous counter that I can't stop admiring. There's no walk-in closet due to the home's original design, but the built-in closets add plenty of functionality and style.

Outside, the Trex experts walked me through the beautifully designed outdoor space. The customizable outdoor kitchens, available in various colors and styles, are perfect for any home. Trex's durable material ensures these spaces can withstand all weather conditions, from snow to sunshine.

One of my favorite features is the multi-level decking, offering an upper level and a step-down area. The glass railings are stunning, and the lighting details throughout the deck make it look spectacular at night. The pergola with a shaded cover is another highlight, creating a perfect outdoor oasis.

The Trex Transcend Lineage decking in caramel color mitigates heat, making it safe and comfortable for kids and pets to play on without worrying about splinters or overheating.

Next, I headed upstairs and discovered two more bedrooms and a cozy media room. The color palette throughout the house is drenched with rich colors yet feels neutral and inviting. Despite being an older home, the rooms feel spacious and airy, thanks to the skylights.

The media room, painted in Sherwin Williams' Urbane Bronze, is one of my favorite spots. It's the same color I have in my dining room, and it feels so cozy and stylish. The room features a frame TV that blends seamlessly with the decor.

I'm so inspired by the mix of wood tones and colors in this house. It encourages me to use more color in my home while maintaining a cozy and neutral feel.
